The year 2007 is behind us which means a whole year has pasted. Many events, actions, and ideas have materialized and will forever be apart of 2007.
Here we are today facing a new year, new era, new age, but the one thing we must not forget is that all misfortune and pain that has been collected through our life times will still be in the back-pack of life that will be carried with us unless we make a start for cleansing. Many educators and wise men have told us repeatedly that through the purification of our intension, mind, and heart we will be able to achieve. Otherwise, we will keep living only for ourselves and ignore the thorns that remind us of there existence. Socrates said, “Before you can embark on knowledge you must know yourself well first”. Aristotle did not accept his request to teach until he found out Alexander wanted to become harmonious. Profit Mohammed was asked to give a lesson and he replied by saying, “don’t be angry ” three time repeatedly. Anger will shut the door to happiness and success.
2008 could be the year for cleansing ultimately leaving all the anger, jealously, and what ever else destroys relationship and the harmony between human beings out of our hearts and minds. The New Year can be the year to celebrate friendship. Knowing the meaning of friendship is to know the meaning of truth. Ego and selfishness is what destroys friendships. If we could only let 2008 become a peaceful harmonious world for the children to help them understand that all the teachers from Noah, Abraham, Jesus.
